About Leo
A legendary Quarter Horse and sire. 14.2 hands, a fine cowhorse with a wonderful disposition, and a track record setter. Very fast horse, losing only two matched races from 22 starts. Bud Warren said Leo "didn't know when to say quit." Became one of the all-time great sires and broodmare sires. His sons and daughters excelled on the track and in the show ring. Best remembered as a broodmare sire, however. There's a very long list of his daughters who became outstanding producers. They produced seven Supreme Champions (including Milk River x Custus Rastus, Fairbars x Three Bars, Sugar Rocket x Rocket Bar, Kid Meyers x Three Bars.
Died in 1967 at age 27.
