Mixed in his veins were two of the most potent strains of sprinting blood ever, that of Thoroughbreds Top Deck & Three Bars. 1963 World Champion, 1963 Champion Stallion, 1963 Champion 3-Year-Colt, 1962 Champion Stallion and 1962 Champion 2-Year-Old Colt. Earned over $200,000, and his offspring earned over $6.8 million. Jet Deck was poisoned in the prime of his career at the age of 11. Before he was murdered in 1971, the stallion had sired 580 horses; 215 AAA runners, 22 AAAT runners, 386 winners and earners of $6,804,178. Brief but brilliant career as a runner; brief but lasting career as a sire - and one of the greatest losses in the history of Quarter Horses.
